WHO WE ARE
Mon Vikash Kendra is a premier non-profit organization for intellectually and physically challenged children. Established in 1988, Mon Vikash Kendra is an offshoot of Guwahati Mental Welfare Society which was formed in 1980 by noted psychiatrist Dr. Deepali Dutta. Located amidst serene surroundings in Dakhingaon, once a village in the outskirts of Guwahati, Mon Vikash Kendra is one of the first institutions in the city that caters to the needs of children with disabilities. The mission of Mon Vikash Kendra is to provide key rehabilitation services, education and advocacy for children with disabilities in the North East of Assam thus building in them the confidence they need to live and succeed independently.

Provide Tailored Special Education and Therapies
EARLY INTERVENTION
Children with disabilities benefit a great deal from early intervention. Our team of special education professionals aim to give specialized support to children and their families. This support might include special education, therapy, counseling and teaching important life skills for independence and overall individual sustainability.
RESIDENTIAL SERVICES
At Mon Vikash Kendra, we are dedicated to helping families of children with disabilities by making quality services and care accessible and affordable to them. We offer low cost residential services for families residing outside of Guwahati. Residential students are well taken care of and are additionally exposed to critical life skills needed for independent living.
